After watching the TV documentary last night about your courageous journey and your determination to overcome all obstacles, it has made us realise that our own personal tragedies and heartbreak are nothing at all compared to what you have endured. Seeing you and hearing your story made us wish that we could be there to give you a big hug. You have a beautiful, caring and loving wife and wonderful children and it is clear that they have immense love and respect for you. Your strength and courage is so great, the likes we have never seen before in anyone else. I have followed Matthew’s journey since the story aired on Seven Sunday Night in 2013 and have now finished reading it in his book “Will to Live”. Matthew, you’re inspirational with the courage and determination you possess going through such a life altering experience. You make me feel grateful for life and the simple pleasures it gives us. Diane is nothing short of amazing and an inspiring woman too. The love in your family touched me and made me emotional with tears of happiness. You have one beautiful, loving, supportive family.
